Sorry, we'd be lying to say that the Emmy's was a mega fashion extravaganza.

Anna Pacquin in a fantastical, yet chic, Alexander McQueen black gown with a heavily embellished gold bodice stole the show hands down.

To be fair, there were a few other dresses that probably looked lovely in person but looked either odd or dull on television. Ironically, it is a TV awards show so one would think that the stylists were able to pull photogenic dresses?!

There was a trend in a almost retro glamourous up do hair style.
Heidi Klum wore a similiar style-- it's a rather easy hairstyle for you to replicate at home or take these notes to your stylist.

?For Fall, I was thinking about the tension between Disco and Punk, and a woman who is classic but has a penchant for Baroque adornment. We?ve used shades like ?Jonquil? and ?Dorado? in very modern insets and collars where the sparkle is veiled in chiffon. Swarovski?s modern approach to creating crystals in the most inspiring colors and shapes was the starting point to enhancing the idea of elegant rebellion in a youthful and unexpected way.? - Phillip Lim

The one thing that we are sure of is that these are by no means the symmetrical pavé sparkle that you associate with crystal past.

With designers like Prabal Gurung, Alexander Wang, Peter Som, Zac Posen, Halston, Rodarte, Yigal Azrouel, Julian Louie, Joseph Altuzarra, Ohne Titel, Manolo Blahnik, Phillip LIm (right) Proenza Schouler on shoes, and Graeme Armour adding their special touch to crystallized Swavorski the results are daring and as individual as the designer's themselves.

Since Oscar fashion is on everyone's mind, we thought this would be the perfect time to do a fall runway recap of some future sparkle that you may just see on a red carpet celebrity this weekend.

See It Then / Wear it Now: Relook at what we liked for fall

After several hair-raising collections full of ostentatious complexities and unapologetic clutter, Marc Jacobs is back in full form for Fall 2010 making his collection one of the week's top highlights, if not the best collection of the week itself.

Addressing fashion's call for cleaner garb, Jacob's was on the dot with a range that this time referenced his own quiet, well-studied girl of the past in a right-on-the money palette of sober pastels and grays.

APPARENTLY, as legend has it, according to pagesdigital, Mert & Marcus were shooting the fall Miu Miu campaign when a friend dropped by.

The friend happened to be Madonna who had some thoughts about the shoot.

Backseat posing pointers then turned into an impromptu Madonna directed fall 2010 Miu Miu campaign video. There were even some Madonna-esque dance steps thrown in while the models preened around in a photobooth.

The score is a remix of Boy George?s ?Generations of Love," which make us wonder if Madonna and Boy George patched up their nasty bit or the whole story is a hoax....

Brad Boles remains on the lose in The Hamptons spilling the bean$... and, yes, the overuse of the color pink can make me cringe, expect on Brad, of course. -- S.H.

Polo in The Hamptons proved to be very interesting for me with the pink Birkin... ostrich of course. I know Sharon is probably upchucking the the thought of pink, but we both agree that the color can be chic on a MAN!

I bumped into Tinsley Mortimer whom I haven't seen in a few months so I was very surprised to hear that she is not shooting any more for her reality shows We had a good laugh about what living your life in front of the camera is really like... finally, somebody I could talk to about how it feels when people come up to you like they know you. She agreed that what people see is a very small glimpse into your real life.

Tinsley in person is very sweet and her boyfriend Brian is so sexy! Topper, Tinsley's ex-husband, is dating Meredith Olstrom, daughter of the fabulous decorator Barbara Olstrom. Barbara is the one that did the interiors of Russell and Kimora's saddle river mess! It's six degrees of separation, as Meredith dated Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran after Julie Ann Rhodes, my close friend, divorced Nick. He went on to Meredith and, together for six years, they've lived in London.

On this week's Focus on Style- Talk, hosting duo Sharon Haver & Brad Boles talk about the style icons of the 80?s Leigh Bowery, Klaus Nomi, Boy George, Annie Lenox, Grace Jones, Club Kids, and their influence over the late great designer Alexander McQueen and fashion as a whole

These provocative visual images were born out of the underground and performance art movements between London, New York and Berlin club scenes. Music and MTV changed an entire generation and how they saw style.

Young designers, Lady Gaga and TV shows like Project Runway contestants pull so much influence from that generation, and the Studio 54 days that preceded it. As Brad says, ?We were there and lived through it, so let?s share!
